  • Shipping and Returns

 

Shipping:

Orders that are shipped standard ground delivery are shipped via UPS and FedEx.  If a customer chooses expedited delivery, they may select the UPS/FedEx delivery service of their choice. 

When selecting Next Day, 2nd Day, or 3 Day shipping options please be advised that these options are promised from the time of shipping not from the time the order was submitted. Please note that Residential-Lights.com ships Monday through Friday; our shipping facilities are closed during the weekend. Orders received late Friday afternoon will normally ship on Monday.  

For products that require a LTL shipment, a freight quote will be provided for your approval prior to shipment.

Freight charges are based on the total order weight and the customer’s location.  No handling fees are imposed.  

If an item is out of stock we will contact you as soon as possible with expected delivery information.  We will give you the choice of waiting until the out of stock item becomes available to ship, removing the item from your order, or having your order shipped in two separate shipments without additional freight charges.  We will also offer a subsitute item if available.  We will do everything we can to ensure you receive your order as soon as possible. 

Signature Requirement

Shipments to all commercial delivery addresses are normally signed for at time of delivery. Orders over $200 will require a signature for delivery unless you choose to waive this requirement.  Any request for signature to be waived must be in writing.  If the signature is waived, Residential-Lights.com and/or the carrier will not be held liable for stolen merchandise.

Canadian Shipments

We will ship orders to Canada via UPS and charge UPS rates.  Upon delivery UPS brokerage and Canadian duties/fees will be due.  These fees are not included in the freight charges. 

This shipping policy allows us to offer the lowest prices on all of our products.

Damaged Shipments:

If any item in your order arrives damaged please notify us immediately at (888) 258-0670 or email us at sales@businesslights.com. Residential-Lights.com will file a claim with the carrier and arrange for a replacement.  Pictures and carrier inspection may be required.    

Returns:

If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason within 30 days of purchase contact us for a return authorization.  Once a return authorization is issued then you may return the product, freight prepaid, unused, in a re-sellable condition, and in the original carton. Residential-Lights.com will exchange the product without a restocking charge or refund the product purchase price less a 10% restocking charge.

Special order items are not returnable unless they are defective or the manufacturer approves the return; a restocking fee to be determined by the manufacturer would apply. 

Freight charges are not refundable on returns.  The company reserves the right to inspect the product to determine if it's damaged or not re-sellable and to issue credit conditionally.  This would include damaged or torn packaging.

All defective product is subject to the conditions of the manufactures warranty. Please refer to our warranties section or request a specific manufacturers warranty.

How do I handle returns and/or defective products?

Please Email Customer Service and request a Return Material Authorization (RMA).  Include your order number on all return requests.  Customer Service will email you instructions for returning product or processing defective products.  This will ensure proper and efficient handling of your return.

Please note: Any return that does not have an RMA will not be accepted.
